'5 Tests, 3 ODIs, 8 T20Is': BCCI Announces Fixtures For International Home Season 2023-24

Senior Men's team will play a total of 16 International matches, comprising 5 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 8 T20Is in their International Home Season 2023-24.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced fixtures for International Home Season 2023-24. As per the BCCI release, Senior Men's team will play a total of 16 International matches, comprising 5 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 8 T20Is. Apart from this, the schedule and venue of the India-Australia series has been announced. The Indian team will play a three-match ODI series against Australia before the 2023 ODI World Cup in October.

The first match of IND vs AUS ODI series will be played on 22nd September, while the second and third ODI matches will be played on 24th and 27th September, respectively. Mohali, Indore and Rajkot will host the matches of India-Australia ODI series. 

After ODI World Cup 2023, a series of 5 T20 matches will be played between India and Australia. The first match of IND vs AUS T20 series will be played in Visakhapatnam on 23rd November and will conclude on 3rd December in Hyderabad.

After T20 series between India and Australia gets over, India will play a three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. The first match of India-Afghanistan T20 series will be played on 11th January 2024 and the final will be held in Bengaluru, the venue where Afghanistan played their first-ever Test match. After this, India faces England in a series of 5 Test matches. The first Test match of this series will be played in Hyderabad from 25th January onwards. The exciting Test series will be played at Hyderabad, Vizag, Rajkot, Ranchi, and Dharamsala.

The 2023 edition of ODI World Cup will be played in India. The marquee event will kickstart on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, while the final match of 2023 ODI World Cup will be played on 19th November at the same venue. The Indian team will start its ODI World Cup 2023 campaign against Australia on October 8 in Chennai.
