Colombo: "Walk In The Park" - That is the proverb to define India's batting performance against Sri Lanka in the 1st ODI today. Shikhar Dhawan played the marquee innings but more than Dhawan, the match will be remembered for the fearless attitude shown by the Indian young batsmen, namely Prithvi Shaw and Ishan Kishan.

Shaw gave a fabulous start to the Indian innings. He was watching the ball like a football! He wanted to end the match in a hurry. The best thing about this innings is that he didn't play a single harsh shot! Prithvi Shaw scored 43 runs in 24 balls with 9 fours. After Shaw's wicket, Ishan Kishan did not stop the tun flow as the left-handed batsman scored 59 in 42 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes.

The young team India has announced themselves by chasing a good total of 263 runs in less than 38 overs. Rahul Dravid, India's coach must be very proud of the performance by the Indan boys. Looked like India had planned to finish the match in a hurry to announce this team as the 'New Team India' that is fearless.

The finishing touches were provided by Suryakumar Yadav!

Earlier in the day, Indian spinners had bowed brilliantly. The Kul-Cha combination of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal, got 4 wickets and saw that SL doesn't pose a big total. Even Krunal bowled economically giving away just 26 runs in his 10 overs.
