IND Vs WI 3rd T20I: Rohit Sharma Would Look To Test Bench Strength As Kohli, Pant Rested | Match Preview

IND vs WI: Shreyas Iyer, the newly formed captain of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) might get a chance to play at number four, where Virat Kohli usually bats.

IND Vs WI 3rd ODI: After winning a thriller second T20I, the Indian team will set their eyes to white-wash the West Indies. As the series in India's pocket, skipper Rohit Sharma would look to make a few changes in the side to give chance to the ones sitting on the bench.

Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant have been given a break and won't be a part of the second T20I. This gives room for Rohit to bring in two new batters. Although Ishan Kishan struggled in the first two matches, his chances of getting dropped are low as India would need to play a wicket-keeper in Pant's absence.

Shreyas Iyer, the newly formed captain of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) might get a chance to play at number four, where Virat Kohli usually bats. All-rounder Deepak Hooda has also been warming the bench and might get a chance.

In the bowling department, Rohit Sharma might want to give chance to one or two of his bowlers waiting in the ranks. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has bowled well this series, especially in the penultimate over in the 2nd T20I. Harshal Patel and Deepak Chahar have leaked runs in the first two T20Is and stand a chance of being dropped.

Shardul Thakur, Avesh Khan, and Mohammed Siraj are some of the contenders to get the spot.

West Indies batted really well in the 2nd T20I and would have been disappointed after a good show by Nicholas Pooran and Powell.

Kieron Pollard got casual before the start of the 3rd T20I:

Kolkata's Eden Gardens has been Rohit Sharma's happy hunting ground. Will team India continue to prosper under his leadership?
