Other than the opening stand, the one partnership which really changed things for Pakistan A was the sixth-wicket stand between Tayyab Tahir and Mubasir Khan the latter of which played a perfect second fiddle with Tayyab playing the role of the aggressor. Mubasir scored 35 off 47. Omair Yousuf also scored a run-a-ball 35 and was the first of the two victims of Parag. The decision was a contentious one as Parag claimed that he had not caught the ball clean but the third umpire gave the decision in favour of India A.
Off the very next ball, which was a half-tracker from Parag, Qasim Akram tried to dispatch it over the on-side fence for a six but the ball went straight to the square-leg fielder. Towards the end, Mohammad Wasim (17* off 10) and Mehran Mumtaz (13 off 10) also played a part in taking Pakistan A past 350.
