Background

Ind vs NZ Test Match Live: The players have arrived at the stadium and we are in for the second Test match between India and New Zealand. The match is being played at the cricket capital of India - Mumbai.

Wankhede Stadium is ready to welcome the players. Virat Kohli on the eve of the match said that he enjoyed playing at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The Indian captain has a hundred against his name at the Wankhede which he scored while playing an ODI in 2017.

The weather will play a key role in today's match as it has been raining in Mumbai for the past couple of days, thus the pitch would be moist and it would help spinners, but it will help the batsmen too. "We will decide the team combination based on weather. At the end of the day you can't assume that the weather will stay the same for all five days. Even if it changes, our decision will be based on what can possibly change," said Kohli.

The toss at the Wankhede that was supposed to be done at 9 am has been delayed and the umpires will inspect the pitch at 9:30 am and then take a decision. The good news from Mumbai is that the sun has come out and signs are positive for the match to start.

All eyes would be on how the Indian middle-order would look like. Cricbuzz reported that Cheteshwar Pujara would be dropped and Kohli would play in his place, but we will have to wait till the toss as Mumbai is witnessing untimely rainfall. "It is a good toss to lose," says Ajit Agarkar.
