Ind Vs Eng: Jasprit Bumrah Pulls Out Of Fourth Test Against England Due To Personal Reasons

India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will not be available for selection for the 4th Test against England which will be played from March 4

India's pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been released from the squad for the 4th and final Test against England due to a 'personal reason'. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued a statement on Saturday, confirming the same while also asserting that no replacement for the player will be made.

"Jasprit Bumrah made a request to BCCI to be released from India’s squad ahead of the fourth Test owing to personal reasons. Accordingly, the fast bowler has been released and he will not be available for selection for the fourth Test," the BCCI release read.

The four-match series currently stands at 2-1 with India in the lead, needing only to avoid defeat to seal their spot in the World Test Championship final that is scheduled for later this year at Lord’s.

The 4th Test match against England will be played from March 4th at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Bumrah played only two of three Tests against England, picking 4 wickets in Chennai in the first Test. He did not get any breakthrough in the recently concluded Pink Ball contest.
