IND vs BAN: BCCI Releases Three Players From India Squad Ahead Of Irani Cup
Irani Cup tournament is set to begin on October 1 in Lucknow.
Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel, and Yash Dayal, who were part of India's squad in the ongoing second Test against Bangladesh, have been released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to participate in the prestigious Irani Cup between Rest of India and Mumbai.
The tournament is set to begin on October 1 in Lucknow, and this move allows these players to feature in the competition.
Sarfaraz Khan will feature for Mumbai in Irani Cup, while Dhruv Jurel and Yash Dayal have been selected for Rest of India team. However, their inclusion in playing XI for their respective sides is yet to be confirmed.

Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel, and Yash Dayal weren't picked in playing XIs in both Tests of IND vs BAN two-match Test series. Yash Dayal is a newcomer to the Indian Test squad, while Sarfaraz Khan has already scored 200 runs in 3 Tests, and Dhruv Jurel has accumulated 190 runs in his 3-Test appearances for India.
Irani Cup will feature a clash between Mumbai, reigning champions of 2024 Ranji Trophy, and Rest of India squad, which consists of standout players from across the nation.
Ajinkya Rahane-led Mumbai will face off against Ruturaj Gaikwad's Rest of India team, which features notable players such as Abhimanyu Easwaran, Sai Sudharsan, and Ishan Kishan.
