IND U19 vs PAK U19, World Cup Semis: India Restrict Pakistan To 172

Fast bowler Sushant Mishra was the highest wicket taker for India with three scalps, which included Pakistan captain and top scorer Rohail Nazir.

Pakistan were on Tuesday all out for 172 batting first in their big ticket semi-final against India at the ICC U19 World Cup. Fast bowler Sushant Mishra was the highest wicket taker for India with three scalps, which included Pakistan captain and top scorer Rohail Nazir.

Pakistan lost two wickets in the first 10 overs which put the breaks on their scoring rate. Mishra dismissed opener Mohammad Huraira in the second over after which Fahad Munir fell to Ravi Bishnoi in the ninth. Opener Haider Ali and Nazir held for nearly 19 overs before the former fell to Yashasvi Jaiswal. Pakistan's scoring rate hardly improved despite the presence of Nazir at one end as wickets fell on the other. Qasim Akram was runout thanks to an almighty mixup which resulted in both batsmen at the same end of the pitch. Mohammad Harris then fell in the 35th over to a brilliant take by Divyaansh Saxena at deep square leg off Atharva Ankolekar. Kartik Tyagi then dismissed Irfan Khan while Bishnoi got his second wicket of the day in the form of Abbas Afridi. Mishra then dismissed Nazir on 62 off 102 balls after which Tyagi struck again by dismissing Tahir Hussain. Mishra wrapped things up with the wicket of Aamir Ali. Brief scores: Pakistan 172 (Rohail Nazir 62, Haider Ali 56; Sushant Mishra 3/28) vs India
