Just a few days from now on June 7, two of the greatest teams in international cricket, India and Australia, will lock horns in the World Test Championship final (WTC Final 2023) at The Oval in England. The Indian contingent arrived in England to adapt to home conditions, start practicing for the mega event. There are many Indian players who are in great form and can prove to be a big threat to the Australia team.

India vs Australia WTC final will be played at The Oval ground in England from June 7 to June 11. India made it to the WTC Final for the second time in a row. Ahead of high-octane IND vs AUS WTC Final 2023 clash, let's look at the five players in the Indian team who can pose a major threat to Australia.

1. Virat Kohli

Like always, all eyes will be on arguably the greatest of all time, ex-India skipper Virat Kohli, who is currently in red-hot form, scoring back-to-back centuries in the recently-concluded IPL 2023.Virat Kohli has a great batting record against Australia in Tests. He has so far played 24 Tests against Australia, scoring 1979 runs in 42 innings with 8 centuries and 5 half-centuries.

2. Cheteshwar Pujara 

Cheteshwar Pujara holds high importance in the Indian Test team. He struggled with the runs in his last outing for India, but thankfully made a superb comeback in English county cricket. Playing country cricket in England for weeks, Pujara has adapted quite well to local conditions. Pujara has so far scored 5 centuries against Australia in Tests.

3. Shubman Gill

IPL 2023 Orange Cap winner Shubman Gill, regarded as the 'future of Indian cricket' by fans and cricket pundits, is in the form of his life. He scored his maiden Test ton vs Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Overall, Gill has scored two tons in Test cricket. The talented youngster scored three centuries in  IPL 2023, ending up as the highest run-getter in the tournament. Gill's lethal form definitely poses a major threat to the Aussies.

4. Mohammed Shami

IPL 2023 Purple Cap winner Mohammed Shami, who took 28 wickets in the tournament, is all set to lead the Indian fast bowling in the World Test Championship final. Shami's perfect seam bowling on bouncy Oval pitch will be tough for the Australian batters to tackle. 

5. Ravindra Jadeja

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja troubled Australia a lot with his spin bowling in the Border-Gavaskar series. Jadeja is a true veteran in Test cricket, taking 264 wickets in 64 Tests and scoring 2658 runs. Jadeja can prove to be the biggest match-winner of Team India in IND vs AUS WTC Final.
