Gautam Gambhir Reveals His All-Time World XI Featuring Rivals From His Playing Days
Gautam Gambhir, who recently became head coach of the Indian team with Sri Lanka tour, faces his next challenge in the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh at home.
Team India's head coach Gautam Gambhir has chosen his all-time World XI, featuring three players from Pakistan: former captain Inzamam ul Haq, Abdul Razzaq, and pacer Shoaib Akhtar.
Gambhir's selection includes legendary players he faced during his career. His team, announced on Sportskeeda, also features veteran Australian openers Adam Gilchrist and Matthew Hayden.

The former India star's all-time World XI also includes two South African veterans, one player each from Sri Lanka and England, chosen from those he played against.
Gambhir, who recently became head coach of the Indian team with Sri Lanka tour, faces his next challenge in the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh at home.
India vs Bangladesh two-match Test series starts on September 19. Following IND vs BAN Tests, the two teams will compete in a three-match T20 series. After Sri Lanka tour, Indian players are on a rare but long break, with senior players resting and others seizing the opportunity to participate in domestic cricket.

Gautam Gambhir's all-time world playing XI: Adam Gilchrist (Australia), Matthew Hayden (Australia), AB de Villiers (South Africa), Brian Lara (West Indies), Andrew Symonds (Australia), Inzamam Ul Haq (Pakistan), Abdul Razzaq (Pakistan), Muttiah Muralitharan (Sri Lanka), Shoaib Akhtar (Pakistan), Morni Markel (South Africa) and Andrew Flintoff (England).
Zaheer Khan to come in as Gautam Gambhir's replacement in Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)
Gautam Gambhir is currently serving as the head coach of the Indian men's cricket team. Prior to this, he was the mentor for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024 and had previously held the same role with Lucknow Super Giants.
Since Gambhir's departure, Lucknow franchise has not appointed a new mentor, but recent media reports suggest that Zaheer Khan is in talks to take over the role left vacant by Gambhir.
