Gautam Gambhir Posts Picture To Troll His Own Catching Skills

Gambhir, who retired from international cricket in 2018, has been vocal about a range of issues on his Twitter handle

Cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir took to social media to post two pictures, one with Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and another with his adorable daughter. The 37-year-old  decided to indulge in self-deprecatory humour as he can be seen dropping a catch while donning KKR jersey and looked rather inelegant while doing so. "Gautam the cricketer, a terrible catcher!!! Gautam the father, an exceptional catcher!!!" Gambhir tweeted.

Gambhir, who retired from international cricket in 2018, has been vocal about a range of issues on his Twitter handle. Recently, BJP MP Gautam Gambhir took a dig at Pak PM Imran Khan over his UN speech and compared it with that of his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. "The time allotted to each country is 15 minutes. What one does with it shows character and intellect. @narendramodi Ji chose to talk about peace and development while Pakistan Army's puppet threatened a nuclear war. He is the same man who claims to promote peace in Kashmir," Gambhir tweeted.

Sportspeople are supposed to be role models. Of good behavior. Of Team spirit. Of ethics. Of strength of character. Recently in the UN, we also saw a former sportsperson speak up. As a role model for terrorists. @ImranKhanPTI should be excommunicated from sports community.

Gautam Gambhir is BJP's candidate from East Delhi and won election during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The former cricketer has been a Member of Parliament ever since.
