Dinesh Karthik Makes 'Bada Galti' In MS Dhoni-Related Incident, Issues Public Apology. What's The Matter?
Dinesh Karthik apologises to fans in an MS Dhoni-related incident, says he committed a 'blunder.'
MS Dhoni, former India wicketkeeper-captain and player, enjoys a massive fan following in the world, but especially in India. Affectionately called ‘Thala’ by fans, example of MS Dhoni’s stardom came to fore when former cricketer Dinesh Karthik had to issue an apology for not naming Dhoni in his all-time Indian 11. The exclusion of Dhoni from Karthik's team selection sparked significant disappointment among fans.
Fans were surprised when Dinesh Karthik's all-time India 11 list did not include MS Dhoni or any specialist wicket-keeper, for that matter, on Cricbuzz's Hey CB show. This led to speculation about the relationship between Karthik and Dhoni, with some assuming that the former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) player doesn’t have a good equation with Dhoni.

'Bada Galti Hogaya': Karthik On Omitting MS Dhoni From His All-Time India 11
However, in the latest episode of the show, Karthik had to admit that there was a genuine mistake and that he forgot to include any wicketkeeper, which he found unbelievable since he himself has been a wicketkeeper.
"Bhai log. Bada galti hogaya (Guys I committed a big mistake.) Genuinely it was a mistake. I realized only when the episode came out. There were so many things happening that when I put this 11, I forgot the wicketkeeper. Luckily Rahul Dravid was there and everybody thought I was going with a part-time wicketkeeper. But genuinely I didn't think Rahul Dravid as a wicketkeeper,. Can you believe being a wicketkeeper, I forgot to have a wicketkeeper? It is a blunder," said Karthik.
Karthik further acknowledged MS Dhoni's status as one of the greatest cricketers and admitted that he would include Dhoni as the captain and a player in his all-time India XI if given another chance.

"And for me, let's be clear. Thala Dhoni is a lock in any format, not only in India. I feel he is one of the greatest cricketers to have ever played the game. If I had to redo that team, one change I would do is, Thala Dhoni in at 7. And he will be the captain of any Indian team that is there," said Karthik.
Here's the India all-time 11 that Dinesh Karthik picked:
Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Ravindra Jadeja (MS Dhoni in his revised all-time 11), Anil Kumble, R Ashwin, Zaheer Khan, Jasprit Bumrah.
