Cricketing greats praise Cheteshwar Pujara's brilliant ton on Twitter

Despite a terrible performance by the top-order Indian batsmen, Cheteshwar Pujara scored a brilliant hundred to take the innings beyond the 200-run mark which helped his team to put 250 runs on the scoreboard at a loss of 9 wickets

Following India’s terrible start, it was expected that the visitors won’t last at the crease for the entire day. But thanks to India’s Test specialist batsman Cheteshwar Pujara, his 246-ball 123 saved India from embarrassment on a flat Adelaide Oval pitch.

Despite a terrible performance by the top-order Indian batsmen, Cheteshwar Pujara scored a brilliant hundred to take the innings beyond the 200-run mark which helped his team to put 250 runs on the scoreboard at a loss of 9 wickets.

A stunning direct-hit by Pat Cummins ended Pujara’s innings as India’s Test specialist batsmen scored 123 from 246 balls. At stumps, Mohammed Shami remained unbeaten on 6 and will be joined by Jasprit Bumrah on Friday morning.
