Cricket Australia's 'Heart-Warming' Letter To BCCI After A Gruelling Long Tour
Cricket Australia wrote a heartfelt letter thanking India and BCCI for their partnership and support during the pandemic times.
In a surprise to many, Cricket Australia (CA) published an Open letter on their social media platforms congratulating and thanking the Indian team and BCCI. This India tour of Australia was a big series in the context of things as cricket and cricketing activities around the globe were on a halt due to pandemic.
The Test match series and especially India’s comeback in a blistering fashion made the series even more worthwhile. Despite the results not turning in favor of the hosts, this gesture by CA looks even more heartfelt.
In the beginning of the letter, CA wrote:
Australian cricket will forever be grateful to the BCCI for their friendship, trust and commitment in helping to deliver a series that has brought joy to many millions of people around the world at a time they needed it most. The unique challenges of international touring during a global pandemic are considerable and we thank India's players, coaches and support staff for all they have given,”

Then they wrote how the partnership and help of BCCI during the unusual pandemic times helped the Australian board.
The letter also drew parallels between two teams. Be it the debut of Shubhman Gill and Cameron Green or be it the batting brilliance of Ajinkya Rahane and Steven Smith. Towards the conclusion, the CA acknowledged the ‘sacrifices’ made by the officials in BCCI to make this series possible.
Finally, they thanked the ‘governments, health officials, venues, broadcast and commercial partners, cricket associations, players, match officials, staff and their families.’ CA also congratulated Team India for winning the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
