WATCH: Cows Invade Field During Cricket Match, Forces Players To Stop Match

A bizarre incident of cows forcing the stoppage of a cricket match has surfaced on social media.

Cricket is one sport that has so many dimensions to it that makes it so interesting. Not only it is perhaps the one mainstream and popular sport which has three distinctive formats, each with its own set of dimensions and intricacies, it has several qualities and skill sets on offer which interest fans. Some view it for the quality of batsmanship, others enjoy some highquality pace bowling. Lovers of spin want to see some sharp turn and bounce and tweakers getting the better of the batters through their flight.

However, what also makes the sport a fan favourite is also the drama that is associated with it. A contentious catch, a decision made by the umpire, an on-field spat, the list goes on but a latest addition to this list is bizarre to say the least. The playing area of a village cricket match was invaded by cows. As a result, players were forced to stop the match. A video of the peculiar incident has gone viral on social media.

Take a look:

It is pertinent to note that the cows were able to enter the field despite there being proper fencing all around the park. The players as well as the umpires tried to get the cows to leave the field but failed. The commentators didn't know how to describe the turn of events and were left stunned.

Meanwhile, India were recently ouplayed by Australia in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final at the Oval in London on Tuesday (June 13) as Rohit Sharma & Co. succumbed to a 209-run defeat. Soon after, the schedule for India's tour of West Indies was announced in which the Men in Blue are to play 2 Tests, three ODIs and 5 T20Is. The first Test match of this tour will commence at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium, Dominica on July 12 (Wednesday).
