PAK vs ENG: Babar Azam became just the second batter, following Virat Kohli, to reach the milestone of 4000 runs in T20I cricket.

PAK vs ENG: During the fourth and final England vs Pakistan T20I match at Kennington Oval in London on May 30 (Thursday), Pakistan captain Babar Azam became only the second player to reach the milestone of 4,000 runs in T20Is. The right-handed batter accomplished this feat in his 119th T20I appearance, with 112 innings. Babar is only 17 runs away from surpassing Virat Kohli's record of having the most runs in T20Is, who has 4037 runs.

After the ENG vs BAN 4th T20I match, Babar Azam has now accumulated an impressive total of 4,023 runs, maintaining a strong average of 41.05 and a strike rate of 130.15. Babar has recorded three centuries and 36 fifties. Additionally, Babar has made history by becoming the first and only batter to exceed 400 fours in T20Is, with a tally of 432 boundaries.

He leads the chart, with former Australia captain Aaron Finch following closely behind, having scored 2236 runs in 76 T20I games as captain.

England Hand Pakistan 2-0 Series Defeat

Babar Azam exhibited his batting prowess with an innings of 36 runs from just 22 balls. Displaying aggressive intent, Babar's innings comprised five fours and a six, resulting in an impressive strike rate of 163.64. Babar's contribution was crucial to Pakistan's strong start, as he and fellow opener Mohammad Rizwan formed a sturdy foundation with a 59-run partnership for the first wicket. However, both of them lost their wickets in a short span of time and despite the solid opening partnershi[p, Pakistan middle-order could not capitalise on it and they could only set the target of 158 runs in 20 overs. England chased the target down in just 15.3 overs, losing just three wickets. With the loss, Pakistan face 0-2 clean sweep at the hands of England.
