In the final of the Copa America 2020, Lionel Messi-led Argentina defeated defending champions Brazil to capture the title for the 15th time at Brazil's iconic Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. Argentina won the final match 1-0 as Angel di Maria scored the only goal in the entire match for his team in the first-half of the game.

Argentina has been successful in winning a major title for the first time since 1993. The team's star player Lionel Messi has managed to make the team champion in an international tournament for the first time in his international career. With this victory, Argentina has finally taken revenge of their defeat in the semi-finals of the 2019 Copa America.

After defeating Brazil in the final, Argentina players celebrated with great enthusiasm and paid respect to great Messi in a special way.

Messi was part of national team in the 2007, 2015 and 2016 losses to Argentina in the Copa America tournament. The defeat at the hands of Germany in the World Cup 2014 was a major setback for Messi.  But finally, the superstar has been successful in making Argentina, champion in a major tournament for the first time.
