Ramadan 2025: With the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims around the world observe fasting. Throughout this sacred month, they fast daily from sunrise to sunset. Fasting during Ramadan is not based on any concept or historical event but is a divine command from Allah. It is obligatory for every Muslim.

According to Islamic beliefs, fasting is not just about abstaining from food and drink; it is a period of self-discipline where one engages in daily activities while staying away from negativity and wrongdoing. Today, on Tuesday, devotees are observing the third Roza. Let’s explore its significance.

Significance Of The Third Roza

The meaning of the third Roza is that if the path is straight, reaching the destination becomes easier. Fasting follows the same principle. In Islam, the third Roza is referred to as the guide to blessings and peace. Here, Rahmat signifies Allah’s mercy, Rahat means peace, and Rahbar means a guide. Fasting helps one walk the path of righteousness by restraining from wrongdoings.

In the Islamic holy book, the Quran, the first chapter Alif Laam Meem, Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 213 states: "Wallahu yahdi mayyashaau ilaa siraatim mustaqeem", meaning "And Allah guides whom He wills to the straight path." When a person fasts, abstains from evil deeds, and controls their desires, they begin to walk on the right path. That is why fasting is called the guide to blessings and peace. A fast observed with sincerity and devotion is a mark of a true and righteous Muslim.

When Is Eid In 2025?

The month of Ramadan lasts for 29 or 30 days, during which the Muslim community observes fasting and offers prayers to Allah. Ramadan ends with Eid-ul-Fitr, which will be celebrated on March 30 or 31 this year.
