The Margashirsha Amavasya will begin on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 10:29 AM and will end on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at 11:50 AM. Falling on a Saturday, it is referred to as Shani Amavasya.

Worshipping Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, and Goddess Ganga on this day is believed to bring special blessings. Bathing in any sacred river is considered auspicious, and performing tarpan (offerings) for the peace of ancestors' souls is also highly beneficial.

Margashirsha Amavasya 2024 Snan-Daan Muhurat:

  • According to the Panchang, the Brahma Muhurat on Margashirsha Amavasya will be from 5:08 AM to 6:02 AM.
  • The Abhijit Muhurat on this day will be from 11:49 AM to 12:31 PM.
  • During these times, you can perform bathing and charity.

Margashirsha Amavasya 2024 Importance:

In Hinduism, the Amavasya of the Margashirsha month is considered very significant. Bathing in the Ganga River or any sacred river, performing tarpan for ancestors, and making charitable donations on this day helps end ongoing difficulties in life.
