The Dwitiya Tithi of the Kartik month, marking Bhai Dooj, begins at 8:21 PM on November 2, 2024, and will end at 10:05 PM on November 3, 2024. According to the tradition of Udaya Tithi (auspicious time determined by sunrise), Bhai Dooj will be celebrated on November 3, 2024.

On November 3, 2024, the auspicious time for performing the Bhai Dooj tilak ceremony is from 1:10 PM to 3:22 PM, giving sisters a 2-hour and 12-minute window for the ritual.

The Significance Of Bhai Dooj And Its Connection To Yamaraj And Yamuna:

On Bhai Dooj, sisters pray for their brothers' long and prosperous lives by applying a ceremonial tilak. In return, brothers present their sisters with gifts. This festival is also known by other names like Bhau Beej, Bhai Dooj, Bhatra Dwitiya, and Bhatru Dwitiya.
