Ingredients
- 1 Cup Basmati Rice
- 2 Piece Tomato (finely chopped)
- 1 Piece Onion (finely chopped)
- 1 Piece Green Chilli (slit)
- 0.5 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 2 Pinch Turmeric Powder
- 0.5 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
- 0.5 Teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 2 Tablespoon Ghee
- 3 Piece Curry Leaves
- 2 Cup Water
- 0.5 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
- Coriander Leaves
- Salt
Cooking Instructions
Rinse the rice properly under col water and soak it for about 10-15 minutes. Once done, drain the water and set aside.
Take a pan, heat ghee over medium heat. Once it's hot, add in cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and curry leaves in it.
Add in the chopped onions and saute it until it's golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute.
Add chopped onions, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
Add the soaked rice and stir properly to mix everything together. Add in water and bring it to boil.
Simmer the heat and cook it for about 10 minutes. Wait for the rice to cook properly and the water to absorb. Turn off the flame once done.
Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve it hot with chutney or raita for an added flavour.
