Ingredients

  • 0.5 Cup Whole Wheat Flour (atta)
  • 12 Tablespoon Jaggery Powder
  • 0.5 Cup Yogurt
  • 0.5 Cup Milk
  • 4 Tablespoon Coconut Oil or Olive Oil
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Cinnamon Powder
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Tablespoon Flaxseeds
  • Chopped Nuts (almonds, walnuts, cashews)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 170°C. Take a cake pan and grease it with oil and line with parchment paper.

Step 2

Take a big bowl, whisk together yogurt and baking soda. Let it rest for about 5 minutes.

Step 3

After that, add in jaggery, vanilla extract, and oil in the bowl. Mix it well.

Step 4

Take another bowl and sift whole wheat flour, baking powder, and cinnamon powder. Mix them properly and add chopped nuts and roasted flaxseeds.

Step 5

Mix the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients properly. Add milk to it to achieve a smooth batter.

Step 6

Pour the batter into the cake pan. Let it bake for about 30 to 40 minutes.

Step 7

Once done, let the cake cool down completely and then slice it. You can enjoy it with a cup of tea or coffee.
