Chaitra Navratri is a time of dedication, devotion, celebration, and spiritual reflection. This festival is observed throughout India with great enthusiasm, spirituality and faith. Each day of this nine-day festival is dedicated to a different form of Goddess Durga. On the eighth day, devotees honour the eighth form of Goddess Durga that is Goddess Mahagauri. This goddess is known for her purity, strength, and serenity. She is known to provide peace and prosperity to all of her devotees. On this day, many people perform Kanya Pujan at home and prepare special bhogs to seek the divine blessings of Goddess Mahagauri.





Ingredients

  • 2 Cup Fresh Coconut (grated)
  • 1 Cup Condensed Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Ghee
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
  • 2 Tablespoon Chopped Nuts
  • Raisins
  • Rose Petals

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Take a non-stick pan and heat ghee in it. Add the chopped nuts and roast them lightly.

Step 2

Add the grated coconut to the pan. Roast it for a while until aromatic.

Step 3

Then, add condensed milk and keep on stirring continuously.

Step 4

Sprinkle cardamom powder and mix well. Turn off the heat and let it cool down.

Step 5

Grease your hands with ghee and shape the warm mixture into ladoos.

Step 6

Roll the ladoos in extra coconut and place raisin or rose petal on the top for garnishing.

Step 7

Let the coconut ladoos cool down completely. You can refrigerate and offer them to the goddess.
