While the Royals missed out on a playoff berth, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal created a remarkable record during the match.

Yashasvi Jaiswal enjoyed a stellar season, scoring 559 runs in 14 matches, including six half-centuries. What makes his achievement unique is how he began his innings. Jaiswal has now become the first batter in IPL history to start five innings with a boundary in two different seasons - first in IPL 2023, and now in IPL 2025.

This season, he began his innings with a six against Royal Challengers Bangalore and followed it up with fours against Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Chennai Super Kings, among others.

Until now, Virat Kohli, Virender Sehwag, Sunil Narine, and Phil Salt had each started four innings with a boundary in a single season—but none have done it in multiple seasons.

In their final match of the league stage, Rajasthan Royals chased down CSK's total of 187 with ease, finishing the job at 191/4 in just 17.1 overs. The highlight of the chase was a composed 53-run knock by 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who showed maturity beyond his years.

Though the Royals' IPL journey ends here, Jaiswal's consistency at the top order have been one of the biggest positives of the season.
