Bali Gears Up To Welcome World Leaders For G20 Summit 2022. IN PICS

Indonesia is all set to host the presidency of the G-20 summit for this year from November 14 to 16. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be visiting Bali for the summit.

Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union are all members of the G20. The G20 started in 1999 as a meeting for finance ministers and central bank governors, but has since expanded into a yearly summit attended by the heads of state and government. Furthermore, Sherpa meetings (charged with carrying out discussions and creating consensus among Leaders), working groups, and special events are held throughout the year.

Every year, the Presidency invites guest countries to participate fully in the G20 exercise. Several international and regional organisations also take part, giving the meeting a more diverse presence. (Image Source: Getty)
