The Sandhi Puja typically takes place during a 48-minute window, spanning the last 24 minutes of Ashtami and the first 24 minutes of Navami. A customary practice involves conducting the puja with a precise count of 108 earthen lamps or diyas, 108 lotuses, and a garland fashioned from 108 bel patra leaves. There is a particular emphasis on presenting red fruits to Maa Chamunda, such as apples, pomegranates, and cherries. It's important to note that all fruits offered to the Goddess remain whole and are never sliced. Uncooked food grains are also part of the offerings to Maa Chamunda.
