Bajaj Triumph Speed 400 And Scrambler 400 X Unveiled: See Images

The Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X are the first bikes to come from the partnership from Bajaj and Triumph while being built in India.

The engine on offer is a liquid-cooled 398cc single-cylinder engine which develops 40 PS peak power and 37.5 Nm peak torque Both bikes have a six-speed gearbox while both bikes have a weight of 170kg / 179kg. [Image Credit: Somnath Chatterjee]

Both bikes get a new frame, bolt-on rear subframe and cast-aluminium swingarm while the Speed 400 gets a 43mm big-piston upside-down front forks, a mono-shock Rear Suspension Unit with external reservoir, lightweight 17-inch wheels and roadster-specific geometry and wheelbase. The off-road oriented Scrambler 400 X features a longer wheelbase, longer travel suspension, larger 19-inch front wheel and wider handlebars. [Image Credit: Somnath Chatterjee]
