Eight people died and eight others were injured in a stampede that occurred during a TDP event in Kandukuru on Wednesday evening.

TDP president Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday met the family members of TDP workers who lost their lives after a scuffle in the Nellore district.

Eight people died and eight others were injured in a stampede that occurred during a TDP event in Kandukuru on Wednesday evening.

TDP promised Rs 24 lakhs of financial assistance to the families of the bereaved workers.

The former CM also promised that the children of those deceased in the incident will be educated in NTR Trust educational institutions.

Speaking to media persons, Naidu said, "This is a sad incident. I'm feeling very sorry about it."
