A video of a shark researchers’ close shave in a shark attack is going viral on the internet.

New Delhi: Sharks can terrify anybody, even veteran shark researchers.

A video of a shark researchers’ close shave with a white shark is going viral on the internet.

As per reports, the encounter took place one week off Wellfleet in the United States, when the Shark expert Greg Skomal was on the boat’s platform.

He held a log pole with an attached camera to record underwater footage of the shark.

He was bending for the rod to go deeper in the ocean and that was when the shark jumped right out of the water opening its mouth right at Skomal’s feet.

Atlantic White Shark Conservancy shared the video of the incident. It said that though reports of breaching White Sharks are frequently heard, but it is rare to sight them in video.

The conservancy said that White sharks are wild animals and it is always advised to be vigilant when near them.
