US President Trump Threatens Houthis To Be 'Annihilated', Warns Iran To Stop Aid

US President Donald Trump warned Iran to stop aiding Yemen's Houthi rebels, threatening to annihilate the group. Trump's comments came after the Houthis claimed attacks on US warships and Israel.

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday said Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels 'will be completely annihilated,' warning Tehran against continuing aid for the group amid an ongoing US military campaign against them.

In a post on social media platform Truth Social, Trump wrote, "Reports are coming in that while Iran has lessened its intensity on Military Equipment and General Support to the Houthis, they are still sending large levels of Supplies. Iran must stop the sending of these Supplies IMMEDIATELY. Let the Houthis fight it out themsel"ves. Either way they lose, but this way they lose quickly."

"Tremendous damage has been inflicted upon the Houthi barbarians, and watch how it will get progressively worse — It’s not even a fair fight, and never will be. They will be completely annihilated!", he added.

His comments came a day after the Houthis claimed attacks targeting American warships in the Red Sea area, as well as a missile launch against Israel. Wednesday also marked yet another day of US strikes on Houthi strongholds in Yemen, including the capital, Sanaa.

Earlier, Trump ordered large-scale military strikes against Houthis on Saturday over the group's attacks against Red Sea shipping, killing at least 53, including women and children, with approximately 100 wounded.

The Houthi rebels attacked over 100 merchant vessels with missiles and drones, sinking two vessels and killing four sailors, from November 2023 until January this year when a ceasefire began in Gaza.

On March 16, Trump posted on X, "To all Houthi terrorists, YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON’T, HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE!"

He also issued warning to Iran and said, "Support for the Houthi terrorists must end IMMEDIATELY! Do NOT threaten the American People, their President, who has received one of the largest mandates in the Presidential History, or Worldwide shipping lanes."
