We Are Going To Fix Our Country, Our Borders: Trump In First Speech After Crossing Majority

Trump is set to become the next President of the United States after defeating Kamala Harris.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump addressed his supporters at Palm Beach County Convention Center after crossing the majority mark of 270 electoral votes. Amid a loud applause from the crowd, Trump said he would "fix the country and the borders". Trump is set to become the next President of the United States after defeating Kamala Harris.

Trump thanked his family and "amazing" children in his speech.

"This is a political victory that our country has never seen before, nothing like this. I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honour of being elected your 47th President and your 45th President. Every citizen, I will fight for you, for your family and for your future. Every single day, I will be fighting for you with every breath in my body. I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe and prosperous America that our children deserve and that you deserve. This will truly be the golden age of America," Trump said.

Trump thanked his wife Melania Trump and stopped his speech to give her a kiss. He also praised her book, calling it the top-selling book in the country. “I also want to thank my beautiful wife Melania, First Lady, who has the number one best-selling book in the country. Can you believe that? She works very hard to help people. So, I just wanted to thank her," he said.

Trump gave a special shoutout to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, saying he is an important person in the US and his campaign helped him a lot. He called Musk a "star". Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi congratulated Trump for the "historic win".
