'Real Pain Is Yet To Come': Trump's Warning To Houthis And Iran

Trump also said that the Yemen's Houthis had been "decimated" by "relentless" strikes since March 15, adding that US forces "hit them every day and night — harder and harder."

US President Donald Trump on Monday said that attacks on the Iran-backed Houthis will continue until they are no longer a threat to shipping and freedom of navigation, warning the rebels and their Iranian supporters of "real pain", which he said is "yet to come".

"The choice for the Houthis is clear: Stop shooting at US ships, and we will stop shooting at you. Otherwise, we have only just begun, and the real pain is yet to come, for both the Houthis and their sponsors in Iran," Trump said in a Truth Social post.

This warning comes as the Trump administration got caught up in a controversy over war plan discussions between senior US officials which got leaked to a journalist on Signal chat.

The Atlantic magazine revealed last week that its editor Jeffrey Goldberg was inadvertently included in a chat, where Trump's National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, revealed details of air strike timings and intelligence.

It also comes amid Trump's threat to Tehran that "there will be bombing" if Iran fails to reach a deal on its nuclear programme.

Trump also said that the Yemen's Houthis had been "decimated" by "relentless" strikes since March 15, adding that US forces "hit them every day and night — Harder and harder."

"Our attacks will continue until they are no longer a threat to Freedom of Navigation," he said on his social network.

Following this "bombing threat" by Trump, there were media reports which said that Iran had readied missiles for a potential strike against the US. According to a report by the Tehran Times, Iran has allegedly "loaded all launchers" in its underground missile cities and a majority of these launch-ready missiles are located in underground facilities scattered across the country and are designed to withstand airstrikes.
