Pegasus Spyware: Pakistan Expresses Concerns Over Reports Of Snooping, Seeks UN Investigation

Pegasus: Pakistan has expressed serious concerns over reports that India allegedly used the Israeli spyware Pegasus to spy on foreigners, including Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Pegasus Spyware: Pakistan has expressed serious concern over media reports that India has allegedly spied on foreigners, including Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, through the Israeli spyware Pegasus. Pakistan has also requested the United Nations to conduct an inquiry into the matter.

According to media reports, Khan was allegedly targeted through Pegasus, spyware manufactured by the Israeli company NSO. The Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement and responded to media queries on India's alleged espionage case.

Espionage operation busted

The Ministry of External Affairs said, "We have expressed serious concern over the reports in the international media which has exposed the Government of India's espionage operations against its own citizens, foreign nationals and Prime Minister Imran Khan, using Israeli Spyware 'Pegasus'." "We are closely monitoring this situation and will draw the attention of the global forum to India's actions," the statement said.

India denies allegations

Pakistan also demanded a thorough investigation of the matter by the relevant units of the United Nations as well as demanded the release of facts and has advocated strict action against the culprits. On the other hand, India on Monday rejected all allegations related to Pegasus espionage and said that attempts are being made to harm Indian democracy.
