Kevin Hart Joins Katy Perry To Defend Ellen DeGeneres Amid Raging Controversy Over Talk Show

Comedian Kevin Hart shared a public message in support of DeGeneres emphasising the internet has “become a crazy world of negativity” while pop star Katty Perry send the chat show host “love & a hug”.

In the latest show of solidarity towards Ellen DeGeneres, comedian Kevin Hart joined in Katy Perry by taking to photo-sharing platform Instagram and defended the popular American television personality amid a huge controversy that has blown up over what has been alleged as toxic environment on her talk show. DeGeneres remains one of the most well known and popular presenters on American television circles. The actor-cum TV host who has been alleged of bullying and intimidating junior staff on the sets of his show now faces resistance to quit the popular daytime chat. Since the controversy broke, DeGeneres apologised according to CarrickHearld, and said she is “committed to ensuring this does not happen again”. Warner Bros also said it would make staffing changes. Meanwhile, Singer Katy Perry also supported the TV host. The pop star, who is expecting her first child with fiance Orlando Bloom, said she was sending the chat show host “love & a hug”.

DeGeneres’s wife, Portia De Rossi, also posted a picture to Instagram stating: “I stand by Ellen” and wrote in the caption: “To all our fans… we see you.
