Sushant Singh Rajput Case Transferred To CBI, Supreme Court Asks Mumbai Police To Submit Case Files In 3 Days; Sister Shweta Singh Kirti Expresses Gratitude!
Supreme Court also said that quarantining of Bihar Police officer has not sent good message despite the fact that Mumbai Police has good professional reputation.
In a major update in the on-going Sushant Singh Rajput’s case, the Centre has accepted Bihar government’s request to transfer the case from Mumbai Police to the CBI. This comes a day after, Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government recommended a CBI inquiry into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta stated the same before the Supreme Court, where the plea of actress Rhea Chakraborty seeking transfer of an FIR, accusing her of abetting the suicide of Sushant, from Patna to Mumbai, is currently being heard by a bench headed by Justice Hrisheksh Roy.

The apex court has also pulled up the Maharastra government over putting Bihar's IPS officer Vinay Tiwari in quarantine. Tiwari came to Mumbai from Patna to investigate Sushant's death case on Sunday but was "forcibly quarantined" by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

"It doesn't give the right message. He was there to do his job. You must do everything in a professional manner," the bench said.

The bench also said that Sushant's death took place in "unusual" circumstances and "the truth should unravel."
"A gifted and talented artist has passed away in circumstances which are unusual. This was very unfortunate. Now, the circumstances in which this death took place needs to be inquired into," the bench added.
Soon after the news came out, Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti took to her Twitter account to express gratitude. "CBI it is!!! #JusticeForSushant #CBIEnquiryForSSR #CBIenquiry.", she wrote.
