Watch Video: Explosion reported near Indian embassy in Beijing

Many on social media sites have posted photos and videos of the aftermath of the purported explosion.

Bejing: A blast has reportedly taken place outside the US Embassy and Indian Embassy in Beijing on Thursday. The US Embassy in Beijing is next to the Indian Embassy. It is reported by ANI that it was a very low-intensity blast close to the Indian Embassy (near US Embassy) where no reports of fatalities or injury. The police are investigating and  there was no harm to Indian Embassy or any staff. The location appeared to be near where Chinese citizens typically line up to enter the US embassy for visa interviews. Many on social media sites have posted photos and videos of the aftermath of the purported explosion. On Twitter, Witness Jimmy Zhong tweeted: “Something just exploded at the US Embassy in Beijing, China just a few min ago. Smoke everywhere.” According to media reports, the blast rocked the site after a man reportedly threw a homemade bomb into the gated area. More details awaited.
