Elon Musk's X Corp To Donate Ad Revenue Linked To War To Gaza, Israeli Hospitals
Elon Musk said the advertising and subscription revenues from his social media platform X will be donated to war-torn Gaza and hospitals in Israel.
Amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, Elon Musk has said that advertising and subscription revenue from his social media platform X will be donated to war-torn Gaza and hospitals in Israel. In a post on X, Musk said that the expenditure of the funds will be tracked.
“X Corp will be donating all revenue from advertising & subscriptions associated with the war in Gaza to hospitals in Israel and the Red Cross/Crescent in Gaza,” he said in a post X.
On being asked how it would be ensured that the money does not go into the hands of Hamas, the X chief said that the expenditure of the funds will be traced.
“We will track how funds are spent and go through Red Cross/Crescent. Better ideas are welcome,” he said.

“We should care about the innocent regardless of race, creed, religion, or anything else,” Musk added.
Following the October 7 surprise attacks by Hamas on Israel that killed around 1,400 Israelis, the Israeli forces have been pounding the Gaza Strip killing 13,300 Palestinian civilians.
Resources have run out in health facilities in Gaza due to relentless Israeli bombings, including the Gaza City’s main hospital, Al-Shifa. Israel claims that Hamas fighters have set up their operating centre near and under the hospital, while the Palestinian militant group has dismissed the claims.

Last month, Musk announced that Starlink would provide connectivity to recognised aid organisations in Gaza which were struggling after a connectivity and internet outage in the besieged strip.
Musk has also come under fire for engaging with antisemitic users and endorsing posts that make inflammatory statements. The issue reached its critical point on Friday last week when major advertisers, including Apple, decided to pull their ads in response to the situation.
