Donald Trump Sworn In As 47th US President In Historic Comeback
Donald Trump, the second President in US history to be re-elected after losing, took oath in an indoor ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda, an area which was ransacked by his supporters in January 2021.

Donald Trump on Monday took oath as the 47th President of the United States at the US Capitol in a historic ceremony, attended by hundreds of leaders, business tycoons and eminent personalities.
Trump, the second President in US history to be re-elected after losing, took oath in an indoor ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda, an area which was ransacked by his supporters in January 2021.
The Republican President used Abraham Lincoln’s Bible for the swearing-in. Lincoln had used the Bible during his swearing-in ceremony in 1861.
The event was attended by several heads of states, including Argentine President Javier Milei and Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni. Former US Presidents Barack Obama, George W Bush and Joe Biden were also present in the swearing-in.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk was also seen along with Google’s Sundar Pichai and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg and Apple CEO Tim Cook were also in the audience.
Soon after the oath-taking, Trump is expected to sign an executive order delaying enforcement of the law banning TikTok in the US. He also plans to sign an executive order declaring that the federal government would recognize only two genders along with a series of orders aimed at remaking America’s immigration policies, including ending asylum access, sending troops to the southern border and ending birthright citizenship, according to the Associated Press.
