Bangladesh Air Force Training Jet Crash In Dhaka: Initial reports indicate that at least 13 people sustained injuries in the incident, with some of them being students of the school.

A Bangladesh Air Force training jet crashed into the premises of Milestone School and College in Dhaka’s Uttara area on Monday, leading to the death of at least one person and injuries to several others. The incident occurred while classes were ongoing, triggering panic among students and staff.

Eyewitnesses and television footage showed smoke and flames rising from the crash site, as emergency crews rushed to control the situation. The crash left the school compound partially damaged, and injured individuals, including students, were seen being evacuated and treated on the spot.

Multiple Casualties Reported, Investigation Underway

Initial reports indicate that at least 13 people sustained injuries in the incident, with some of them being students of the school. The injured were quickly transported to nearby hospitals for medical attention. The Bangladesh Army confirmed that the aircraft involved in the crash was an F-7 BGI fighter jet, used by the Bangladesh Air Force for training purposes.

Firefighters and military rescue teams arrived promptly at the site, working to douse the flames and secure the area. The wreckage of the aircraft was visible from nearby buildings, and parts of the school’s infrastructure were damaged due to the impact.

Fire Services Confirm Casualties

Speaking over the phone to the Associated Press, Lima Khanam, an official from the Fire Service and Civil Defence, confirmed the fatality. At least one person died and four others were injured, she said, though she did not elaborate on the identities of the victims or the severity of the injuries.

Authorities have not yet revealed the cause of the crash.
