Yogi Govt Makes National Anthem Recital Mandatory In UP Madrasas

National anthem has been made mandatory in madrassas of UP, the state Madrassa Education Board said in an order issued on Thursday.

New Delhi: National anthem has been made mandatory in madrassas of UP, the state Madrassa Education Board said in an order issued on Thursday. This order will be applicable in all recognised, aided and non-aided madrassas. According to the information, while issuing a letter to all the minority welfare officers, it has been said that the national anthem should be made compulsorily at the beginning of the academic session in the recognised and aided madrasas of the state.

The Registrar of the Uttar Pradesh Madrassa Education Board, SN Pandey, likewise issued an order with this impact to all the District Minority Welfare Officers on May 9.

The national anthem will be played before the class starts in the morning, according to the decision taken in the board meeting on March 24. After the national anthem, the students will go to the classes. The national anthem will be sung in all madrasas that are open after the Ramadan holiday.

Along with this, it has been said in the order that the District Minority Welfare Officers will have to monitor regularly to ensure the compliance of this order.

Classes have started in madrasas from today after the Ramadan holidays. There are also examinations in the Madrasa Board from May 14. 

Minister of State Danish Azad Ansari had likewise said that the govt needs the madrassa students to be "full of patriotism".

As of now, there are a total of 16,461 madrassas in Uttar Pradesh and 560 of them get government awards.
