UP election EXCLUSIVE: We want Rama temple to be built as soon as possible, says Keshav Prasad Maurya
New Delhi: The most populous state of India, Uttar Pradesh is all set to go for Assembly election in 2017 and all the major political parties including Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Samajwadi Party (SP) are not leaving any stone unturned to woo the voter.
To have an in-depth knowledge about what the BJP is planning, Anurag Kumar of ABP Live has an exclusive conversation with Keshav Prasad Maurya, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and President of UP BJP. Here what he said:
Q1) Will Rama Temple be an issue in the election?
Keshav Prasad: Ram temple is an issue of faith, it is not an election issue. Development, good governance, corruption, nepotism are the issues of the state election.
Q2)) Subramanian Swamy said 'Rama Temple part of BJP manifesto, can't run away from it'. Your comment.
Keshav Prasad: BJP has said that the temple will be built, it is a part of our manifesto and we want Rama temple to be built as soon as possible. The matter is under consideration of court and after its decision we will talk about it.
Q3) Who will be the Chief Ministerial candidate in UP?
Keshav Prasad: Every BJP worker is CM candidate.
Q4) In the upcoming election what are the chances of BJP in the Uttar Pradesh?
Keshav Prasad: In the 2017 state election, BJP is going to win more than 300 seats. In the SP, BSP misgovernance we are celebrating this Diwali but the next year's Diwali, there will be under the good governance of the BJP. There will be no gunda raj, mafia raj in the state. There will be no corruption and illegal land acquisition.
We will have such a state government in UP as presently we are having in the other BJP ruling states. 24 hour electricity, no communal tensions. In the BJP ruled state, there will be rule of law.
Q5) In the case of hung Assembly, will the BJP join hands with BSP chief Mayawati?
Keshav Prasad: I consider this as a dreamy question. We are going to win more than 300 seats in the state. The SP and BSP will cease to exist, these parties will be history. People are with BJP and party workers are working day and night to make party win.
Soon we will going to have four Parivartan Yatras. Youth summits are going on in every district.
On the basis of our strong organization, we believe, we are going to win 90 per cent election seats.
Q6) This family feud in presently ruling Samajwadi Party will benefit or harm the party (SP)?
Keshav Prasad: SP will soon be history. Akhilesh Yadav is the last ruler of the Saifai family. Now the people of Uttar Pradesh will not want misgovernance of SP, BSP. These parties will never come back to power.
