The US has not yet announced Nancy Pelosi's visit, but the US military has deployed aircraft carriers and fighter jets to Japan and its controlled island of Guam near the Taiwan border.
New Delhi: Amid the growing tensions over US House Speaker Nancy Palosi's visit to Taiwan, several videos surfaced online with heavy movement of armoured vehicles and military equipments was seen near the border with island nation that China claims as its own territory. A Chinese social media user "Yin Sura" shared a video on his Twitter handle in which armoured vehicles can be seen on a busy road.

Meanwhile, according to the news agency Reuters' report, US has positioned warships, including an aircraft carrier, in waters east of Taiwan on what the U.S. Navy called routine deployments on Tuesday.
A U.S. Navy official told to Reuters, "The carrier USS Ronald Reagan had transited the South China Sea and was currently in the Philippines Sea, east of Taiwan and the Philippines and south of Japan."
"While they are able to respond to any eventuality, these are normal, routine deployments," said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
On Monday, a video was released by the Eastern Theatre Command of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) on social media platforms showcasing PLA carrying out several aggressive military exercises.
The subtitles in the video (translated to English) urges troops to “stand by in battle formation, be ready to fight upon command, bury all incoming enemies”.
