Renault Kwid Spied With Camouflage - Facelift Or Electric?
A camouflaged version of the Kwid has been spotted with some subtle changes to the exteriors but... without a tailpipe??
The Renault Kwid has been in the market since 2015 and has been a consistent performer in the entry-level hatchback segment. Renault has, however, been aggressive when it comes to offering limited editions and cosmetically enhanced versions of the Kwid since the beginning. And now, a Kwid has been spotted testing with a light camouflage outside India, hinting at another possible cosmetic update.
This particular Renault Kwid seems to be hiding subtle design changes to the front, rear bumpers and the side fenders while the rest of the body remains exactly identical to the existing model. However, there’s an intriguing detail that cannot be left unseen here: In these pictures, the exhaust pipe, which is located on the left rear corner of the Kwid, is not visible at all. The Renault logo at the front has also been camouflaged and it’s possible that it could be hiding a charging port underneath. The reason being that the Renault Zoe and even the Nissan Leaf have their ports located below their emblem at the front.
Renault had already announced its plans for producing a Kwid EV earlier that should be heading to the Chinese market first and Indian market later. Whether this camouflaged Kwid is an EV or just hiding a minor cosmetic update is something that we’ll have to wait to get an answer for.
