Bible For All In Bengaluru School: Hindu Janajagruthi Samithi has accused Clarence High School in Bengaluru of imposing the Bible on all students

New Delhi: Hindu Janajagruthi Samithi has accused Clarence High School in Bengaluru of imposing the Bible on all students as the management made it compulsory for students to carry the Bible to school.

Responding to Hindu outfits' accusation, Clarence High School Principal Jerry George Matthew claimed that they are a peace-loving and law-abiding school and assured that they won't break the law of the land.

"We're aware that some people are upset about one of the policies of our school. We're a peace-loving & law-abiding school. We've consulted our advocates on this matter & we'll follow their advice. We won't break law of the land," news agency ANI said, quoting the Principal of Clarence High School.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti state spokesperson Mohan Gowda claimed that non-Christian students are being forced to read Bible. The controversy sparked when one of the points in the application form reads that the parents should declare that they affirm to not object to carrying a Bible to the school.

The parents' declaration in the application form reads, "You affirm that your child will attend all classes including Morning Assembly Scripture Class and Clubs for his/her own moral and spiritual welfare and will not object to carry the Bible and Hymn Book during his/her stay at Clarence High School."

Meanwhile, the state government has recently announced that they are mulling introducing Bhagavat Gita in schools.
