After Openly Criticizing Budget 2021 Rahul Gandhi To Lead Congress During The Session Today
Rahul Gandhi likely to lead Congress' debate over Union Budget which was presented on February 1st by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
New Delhi: After Prime Minister Modi's address, Rahul Gandhi is likely to be the first speaker today. Gandhi will lead the debate over the Union Budget in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday from Opposition's side. According to ANI, discussion on union budget 2021-22 is slated to be taken up after reply to the motion of thanks on the President's Address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Usually, the discussion on General Budget is taken up first in Lok Sabha. But in 1955, 1959, 1963, 1965 and 2002, discussion on Budget commenced first in Rajya Sabha. This will be the sixth time ever that the Upper House will take up the discussion before the Lok Sabha.
