Protesting Farmers Clang Plates, Raise Slogans To Block 'Noise' Of PM Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat'

Farmers on the day-32 of their protest in the national capital, banged plates and vessels at three spots -- Singhu border, Faridkot in Punjab and Rohtak in BJP-ruled Haryana.

Thousands of farmers protesting against the three farm bills for over a month now, carried out 'Thali Bajao' protest on Sunday and raised slogans as Prime Minister's monthly radio address Mann ki Baat was broadcast this morning. So we will bang utensils so that the voice during the Mann ki Baat address doesn't reach us. According to the reports, farmers on the day-32 of their protest in the national capital, banged plates and vessels at three spots -- Singhu border, Faridkot in Punjab and Rohtak in BJP-ruled Haryana.
The concept of clanging plates and clapping was first initiated by Prime Minister Modi earlier this year to felicitate the frontline workers battling Coronavirus during the Lockdown. In today's radio address too, PM Modi referred to the Tali-Thali idea witnessed earlier this year. Besides this, he also honoured the sacrifice of Sikh Gurus and their kin, and talked about his recent visit to Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib saying "On this day, Guru Govind Singh Ji's mother Mata Gujri Ji embraced martyrdom. They have agreed for the 6th round of talks on December 29 to end the deadlock between farmers and the Centre. Farmers have been protesting at the Delhi for more than a month now still and have 5 rounds of talks with the centre which remained inconclusive.
