Person Who Made Threat Call To NCP Chief Sharad Pawar Arrested In Bihar
Sharad Pawar received a call from an unidentified person at his residence at Silver Oak threatening the MP to kill him, Mumbai Police said on Tuesday.
New Delhi: A person identifed as Narayan Kumar Soni was arrested from Bihar for allegedly making death threat call to Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar, said Mumbai Police on Wednesday, reported news agency ANI.
"A person identified as Narayan Kumar Soni has been arrested from Bihar. He called up NCP President Sharad Pawar's residence Silver Oak yesterday and threatened to kill him," the police said.
N Soni (45) was arrested by a Mumbai police team in Patna and was being brought here, PTI reported an official of Gamdevi police station as saying.
He will be produced before the court today, they added.

The identity of the accused was traced from his mobile number and was warned by the police, the PTI report added.

A case was registered against an unidentified person in connection with the matter. “An unidentified person called up NCP President Sharad Pawar's residence at Silver Oak and threatened to kill him. A case has been registered against an unidentified person. Police registered a case under section 294,506(2) of the India Penal Code and started further investigation,” Mumbai police was quoted as saying by the news agency.
He allegedly used obscene language and on some occasions told the constable on duty “Mumbai Aake Desi Katte Se Uda Doonga” (will come to Mumbai and shoot with a country-made gun), said the official.
