Mumbai: Massive Fire Breaks Out In Multi-Storey Building In Vile Parle; No Casualties Reported

After a preliminary assessment of the situation, fire officials said there is no report of any casualties so far.

New Delhi: A massive blaze broke out in a multi-storeyed residential building in Mumbai’s suburban Vile Parle locality on Sunday night. All the people trapped inside the building have been rescued by the fire-fighting teams at the spot. The fire has been put under control and cooling operations are underway. The blaze erupted on the seventh and the eighth floors of the 13-storey Labh Shrivali building located in Vile Parle (W) at around 7.10 pm, a Fire official said, adding that it was a level 3 fire. After a  preliminary assessment of the situation, fire officials had said there is no report of any casualties so far. He said at least 8-10 fire engines have reached the spot along with water tankers. Many people were feared trapped inside the building, while the rescue operation was underway.
