Ahead Of MP Elections, CM Shivraj Likely To Induct 3 New Ministers Into Cabinet Today. Check Names
MP Cabinet Expansion: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is likely to expand his cabinet today with three new faces.
MP Cabinet Expansion: Ahead of assembly elections later this year, the CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led government in Madhya Pradesh is likely to induct three new faces into the cabinet by Friday evening, according to sources. As per the information, two cabinet and one minister of state can take oath. Sources said that Rajendra Shukla, Gaurishankar Bisen and Rahul Lodhi are likely to be made ministers. MP is set to go to polls later this year along with four other states which is being seen as a trial run of what the 2024 Lok Sabha elections would look like.
Last week Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the state and took a swipe at previous Congress governments in Madhya Pradesh. He said that in 53 years of governance of Congress, MP was known as a 'Bimaru' state". Shah also released the Madhya Pradesh government's “report card” in Bhopal and addressed the BJP’s working committee meeting in Gwalior.
Notably, Gwalior is the home turf of Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Shah, while presenting the 20-year "report card" of the BJP government in the state, said that the saffron party has brought a sick state at par with the developed states of the country with a holistic approach.
"In 20 years, the BJP government of Madhya Pradesh has brought a sick state at par with the developed states of the country with a holistic approach in 20 years and has also decided with what approach to take the state forward under the leadership of Modi ji in the nectar of independence," the Union Minister said.
Notably, even before the announcement of the poll schedule, the Bharatiya Janata Party last week released its first list of 39 candidates for the Madhya Pradesh Election 2023 focusing on seats it lost in 2018, some even in 2013. The saffron party reposed faith in 14 candidates, including three former ministers, who lost the previous polls.
ABP News and CVoter conducted a snap poll to gauge the opinions of people about the BJP's early candidate list.
