Italian Woman Onboard Abu Dhabi-Mumbai Air Vistara Flight Arrested After Creating Ruckus Mid-Air
The woman was arrested by police after the Air Vistara flight landed in Mumbai. A chargesheet was filed against the woman but later was granted bail by the court.
New Delhi: An Italian woman was arrested by Sahar Police in Mumbai after she created ruckus onboard Abu Dhabi-Mumbai Air Vistara flight, reported news agency ANI. The woman allegedly insisted on sitting in business class despite having an economy class ticket and was also alleged to have assaulted the crew members. As per the ANI report, the woman took off some clothes and walked up and down the aisle in a partially naked state.
A case was registered against the woman, Paola Perrucio after the flight landed in Mumbai in the early hours on Monday, January 30 after it took off from Abu Dhabi at 2:03 am IST on Monday.
The incident was confirmed by a Vistara spokesperson who said that the flight captain issued a warning card to the passenger.

“We confirm that there was an unruly passenger on Vistara flight UK 256 operating from Abu Dhabi to Mumbai on 30 Jan 2023. In view of the continued unruly conduct and violent behaviour, the captain issued a warning card and made a decision to restrain the customer,” the spokesperson said.
The pilot made regular announcements and ensured the other passengers onboard of their safety and security, the spokesperson said adding “in accordance with the guidelines and our stringent SOPs, the security agencies on-ground were informed to take immediate action upon arrival.”
The incident was reported to the relevant authorities as per the SOPs. Vistara stands firm with its zero-tolerance policy against unruly behaviour that endangers the safety, security, and dignity of its customers and staff, the spokesperson added.
The woman was arrested by the Mumbai Police and a chargesheet was filed against her and was given a bail by the court.
